Susan White, AFCA, MPAC

Susan White grew up on the prairies, then moved to Vancouver Island in 2015. She completed her foundation year in Fine Art at University of Manitoba. She has taken many classes and workshops since then but is mainly self-taught.

Susan has experimented with many types of art over time, including a long stint as a self-employed jewellery designer. She currently works exclusively in soft pastel, and is very excited by the expressive potential of this luscious medium. Pastels allow her to achieve colour layering and fine details in her wildlife portraits and botanical paintings. Her inspiration is the abundant natural beauty all around her on the island.

Susan has a signature designation with the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA) and has a Master Pastelist Signature Designation with Pastel Artists Canada (MPAC). Her work has garnered several awards and is held in international collections.
